Aldeburgh Music Club Choir in rehearsal at Snape Maltings

Founded in 1952 by Benjamin Britten, Aldeburgh Music Club is one of the leading choirs in East Anglia with over 100 voices. The Club performs regularly at Snape Maltings and other venues in Suffolk engaging professional orchestras and leading soloists. The Club celebrated its 60th anniversary year in 2012 and was a major contributor to the Britten centenary events in 2013. 

Aldeburgh Music Club's repertoire includes a broad range of oratorio and religious music, opera, contemporary and commissioned works.

New members are always welcome, whether they be experienced singers or those keen to learn to sing well. No audition is required but members should have an acceptable tone, a good ear for pitch and enjoy the high standards of discipline and musicianship necessary for concert performances.
